Janice always had such a sweet smile and sweet spirit.  So very sorry she had to go through so much in her last days.

Janice was one of my best friends at AHS, and I feel her loss deeply. She lit up a room when she walked in with that endearing smile. Janice cared so much about other people, and her love for her Lord shone through in all that she did. Janice lived out of state for many years, but when she returned, we rekindled our friendship. One of the first things Janice told me she remembered about high school was when the AHS newspaper had students submit a song title that fit a teacher. I did not remember it at all, but Janice did. She said that I described Mrs. Butler's honors English class as "Kind of a Drag" a song by the Buckinghams. We laughed so hard. Yes, we shared many laughs and tears in high school. Janice, may you soar with angels as you watch over those who love you.

I met Janice when we were 9 years old and in the 4th grade.  She and I remained friends all her life.  I will miss Janice forever.  She was the one I could go to just to talk and I knew she would prayfully consider all the things we talked about.  I love Janice and I am so sorry that her last year and a half on earth was so painful.
