Randall Tatum was one of the best baseball players I ever played with at AHS. He was elevated to the varsity his sophomore by Coach Blackburn because he had a “steady glove” and a great bat! His versatility in the infield or outfield allowed him to play important roles in all three seasons at Abilene High. I was asked by his family to say a few words at his memorial service, and it wasn’t easy. Randall was a great teammate for many summer league games and at AHS. RiP, Randall!
