Debbie Adams was one of my best friends. She lived down the street from me from sixth grade until she went off to Oklahoma to get married. I spent so much time with her . . . I'll never forget our AMAZING duets (well, we thought they were) with her playing the piano and me singing, "Moon River." I was so very sad when I heard that she had died.
In 9th grade, Debbie was the first girl I ever kissed. It happened on a church hayride. How can anyone ever forget their first kiss? So I can never forget Debbie and always with a smile of remembrance. If I remember rightly, she was also one of our class officers in high school.

I sat with Debbie at our last reunion...a several years ago, and we both talked about
how so many of our classmates had done so well in their lifes. But that was Debbie...she seemed
to care about everybody, especially many of us in her graduating class. I am proud that
she called me her friend.
