What can be said about Steve Jeter that hasn’t already been said! Steve was well liked by everyone. I met Steve when we used to take trips to Six Flags in junior high. We always had a lot of fun on those bus trips. Steve became a music and concert promoter later in life. RIP, Steve.

I have too many memories to count.  When I think about Steve, I think about the farm and riding horses.  Good times and some bad, but I choose to remember the good.  Rest In Peace.

As we approach the reunion, I decided it was time to write a note about Steve. I knew him since we were in elementary school and we got in trouble for sliding down the banister instead of walking down the stairs at church! He made a great wise guy and he didn't need the myrrh, frankencense or gold! He was golden in his own way and he always had something to say that would crack you up at just the moment the adults walk in the room with their stern looks and he would just smile. I remember riding horse at the farm,  with Steve, but last time I talked with him was a year or so before his passing and he was talking about accompanying his elderly mother to church as she aged and couldn't drive any longer. However, my favorite memory of all time was Steve's entrance to the class reunion in his white linen suit, fedora. and the cigar! He always knew how to command attention and loved to play to the crowd and then the day came when the music stopped and Steve did too. He quit making entrances and will be missed because he was loved, perhaps more than he knew. Thank God we got to witness his coming and sadly we are here and had to be witness to his last entrance and his final exit. Godspeed Steve.
