Theodore "Ted" Evans, Jr. passed from this life on Thursday, May 4, 2017. 

Ted was larger than life and loved his family, loved his John Deere family, and loved his customers who became life long friends. He was passionate about golf and loved wood working and was always the life of the party! 

A celebration of his life will be held at The Backyard at TMI, 2180 Maple Street, Abilene, Texas, Monday, May 8, 2017 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM. Join us as we reminisce and exchange many of Ted's "larger than life" stories.

Theodore "Ted" Evans, Jr. was given the gift of life on August 1, 1952, born to Rosine Evans and Theodore Evans, Sr. in Pampa, Texas. He lived in Abilene most of his life and attended Abilene High School, graduating in 1970. He married Brenda Buerger Evans in 1997 in Abilene. Ted started selling tractors with his dad and has been selling John Deere tractors for more than 40 years for Evans Equip., Godsey-Evans Equip., Airmaster Equip. and Yellowhouse Machinery. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Evans, Sr., his half brothers, Steve Evans, Clifford Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Evans, son Theodore "Ted" Evans, III and wife, Allicyn, his step-sons, Joseph Pace, Matthew Pace and wife, Jessica, Benjamin Pace and fiance, Dusty Dorman; mother Rosine Evans, half sister Ester Best; ten grandchildren, Ivy Rose and Emmylou Evans, Maggie Pace, Evan, Logan and Jackson Pace, Kenli and Harper Jo Pace, and Jayden and Tayler Dorman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Erase Kid Cancer, Cook Children's Health Foundation, 801 7th Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76104 or Ben Richey Boys Ranch, 501 Ben Richey Dr., Abilene, Texas. 

Arrangements are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
