I knew Lanny from first grade at Valley View. He was always a good friend. His house was about two and a half blocks away from mine and was halfway between the houses of Kathy Kashmere and Debbie Gibbs and mine.  We'd meet there on our way to each other's houses.  When he was sick a few years ago, I got a message that he was in Hendrick Hospital and wasn't doing well and then I got a message that he had been moved to Hospice. I let everyone know and Stan Lambert emailed me and asked me to meet him at the hospital. We had been told that Lanny was alone.  We met in Lanny's room, not knowing what to expect.  Lanny, who had been in a coma, had just woken up a short time before and they were moving him to the dialysis floor.  We had a really nice visit with him and Stan prayed for him while we all held hands.  Lannie knew how serious his condition was and knew that he had to work hard to stay well.  I was dreading going to the hospital that afternoon, but I was so very glad that I went.  Bless you, Claude Lanny Fisher.
