From Christy Swann -
Hubert had lived almost 30 years with transplanted hearts. I say hearts because his first transplant was in 1984 due to a congenital heart disease. By July 2014 he required another heart transplant in addition to a kidney transplant. The anti rejection medication had taken a toll on his own kidneys. Hubert did not let his health hold him back in any way. He returned to work at 3M as a supply chain manager, continued to hold Bible studies at the county jail, and was very active in Boy Scouts, working at Camp Billy Gibbons for summer camp and hiking Philmont Scout Ranch and many other locations. God, family and country were his passions.
